He married Bonne D'Ardennes circa 970.⁽⁹⁹⁷⁾ Bonne was born circa 950. Bonne⁽⁹⁹⁸⁾ was the daughter of Godfrey the Old Count of Verdun.

Charles Duke of Lorraine and Bonne D'Ardennes had the following child:
