He married Judith of Brittany circa 1000.⁽⁹³¹⁾ Judith was born circa 982. Judith⁽⁹³²⁾ was the daughter of Conan I Duke of Brittany and Ermengarde de Anjou. Judith died circa 1017.

Richard II Duke of Normandy and Judith of Brittany had the following child:
